These simple waffles can be served for breakfast or as a dessert. A recipe that everyone can use to prepare fluffy waffles in no time at all. The only thing you need is a waffle maker.

Waffles are always a sweet surprise. Whether for breakfast with jam, as a dessert with ice cream or as a healthy snack with fruit and yoghurt. Once you've got the hang of the waffle maker, it's not witchcraft. The basic ingredients for a waffle batter consist of eggs, butter, sugar, flour and milk. With other ingredients such as baking powder or cornstarch, waffles also have a crispy effect. Experience in just a few steps how you can easily conjure up hearty and, above all, crispy waffles.

Ingredients for 8 waffles (with waffle iron):

  • 120 g butter
  • 80 g of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 80 g icing sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for spreading the waffle iron)

Kitchen utensils:

1 waffle iron, 1 mixing bowl, 1 soup ladle, 1 hand mixer, 1 spatula

Melt the butter at medium temperature and place in a mixing bowl.

Then add the eggs, milk and cornstarch to the bowl.

Mix the ingredients into a smooth dough using the mixer. You should mix everything well for at least 5 minutes.

Preheat the waffle iron and then brush well with melted butter.

The dough must be well distributed in the hot waffle iron. Then close the waffle iron.

Fry the waffles in the waffle iron until golden yellow. You can open the waffle iron more often and see if the waffles are already browned.
